Forum Suggestions & User Assistance - What's with all the spammers today?

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

Is it like this every day and I usually don't see them all, or has something changed to let more spammers in than usual today, or they out in force for some reason today, or what?

We had a nest of Chinese spambots register all at once. They've been nuked.

Spammers Jeez I posted a question in another subject area and first response was mumbo jumbo . Had nothing to do with cycling at all. Reported him for taking up forum time and space .

If you see a spam post like this, you can report the post (exclamation point in a triangle at the bottom left of the post). That will flag it for the moderators and they can take care of it.

Thanks! I was looking for a "report this post" type of link, but missed that.

Heh heh. I've been dealing with lots of spam in my Postfix server. :)

It's no wonder spammers are trying to use my server as an open relay just to get my IP address blacklisted from Hotmail (my mom and dad are both using it). At least my Postfix server is doing its job blocking open relay attempts.
I know my post have nothing to do with the forum, but a little chat about dealing with spammers would suffice. :)
