The stem just has a single bolt for the clamp, no faceplate, and not much give.

I've got risers on there now, and wondering, because of there is a trick to, or if it's even possible to thread the bull horns through.

Ha, just the stem is Origin8. I've got an old 1900s Simmons Westminster fixed gear frame.

All you need to do is turn the bars as you install them to accommodate the bends. It's not rocket science.

Seriously, are you saying that the bend in the bars won't make the turn? I have had that problem with really tight road bars, in which case I do whatever I need to do to pry the stem open. I usually end up using a number of screw drivers, washers, and whatever else I can reach with my free hand. Things go flying across the garage, sometimes I get poked in the eye. It's really not a big deal if you use the proper safety attire; which I do not.

The narrower cut-out part of the stem clamp goes along the inside of the bends or else the stem will just get stuck against the bar. No one understands your question because drop bars have been used with quill stems for a very long time and bullhorns arent that different

Thanks, kind of new to all of this and want to go breaking the stem.
