Commuting - Lines on forehead from helmet/skull cap

Anyone else annoyed by this? I shave my head and wear a skull cap under my helmet with produces two indentations across my forehead from ear to ear pretty much. And if I just wear the helmet, the pads in the helmet push into my skin to make indentation marks. Both last a good half hour at least after arriving at work. And neither the helmet or the skull cap are real tight. The helmet is just tight enuff not to move around the and the skull cap is elastic and completely comfortable.
Any solutions?

Wear a hat at work.

Just kidding. I get the same thing & don't forget the strange head tan patches in the summer. I don't think there's a solution really.

maybe try spashing some warm water on the area and massaging it around a bit?

I get the same thing, too. The indentations last almost half my day at work. At my age, 45, the indentations may soon stay there permanently. :fight: Battling it maybe futile. :D

Sometimes I wake up with a keyboard impressions on one side of my face.

i cut the bottom little rubber thingie off the bottom of my skull cap after it dug into my head (probably left a little line too) and gave me a headache the first couple times i tried it out.

after cutting off the bottom (i am assuming yours like mine is just made of some spandexy type thing) it looks ugly as h@ll as i am a poor seamstress and cut it pretty badly, but is so comfy i totally forget i am wearing it.

i wish they made one without the rubberband down around the bottom... it's stretchy spandex, is it really going anywhere :rolleyes:

I, also, am follically challenged. However, the skin on my head is relatively thin and any dents due to helmets, watch caps and viking helmets quickly subside.

Any dents due to the garage door and other "low bridges" do not.

I also drink a lot of water during the day. It keeps my skin supple and my knees well-lubricated. Could this be a cause?

Such an annoyance. The only thing I have found that helps is to take off my helmet as soon as I get off my bike. then I lock, unpack, take off outerwear and otherwise prep for entry into my office building. This gives me like a 5-6 min lead time on the head dents. my secretary always notices, but by the time I am settled in they have usually faded. let me know if you find any better solution!

Actually i tried something new today.
Normally after i arrive I wash up and then apply some lotion to my face to keep it from drying out. Today I also applied the lotion before i left the house. I think this helped keep the skin more pliable and the creases seemed to disappear quicker.
