Picked her up last week from my LBS. I'd been riding a Kilo TT fixie, but since tearing my meniscus last summer I'd found myself more and more drawn to a more comfortable riding position, favoring my folder even on good days. The folder's too flexy for an enjoyable ride so I pulled the trigger on this mixte frame and then worked with my LBS owner to build it out.
It's a joy to ride with a low geared free wheel single speed. Despite the fenders and rear rack it's surprisingly light weight and nimble. Never ridden anything quite like it and couldn't be happier with the results even if my wallet is much lighter than I'd anticipated when I began thinking of building up one of these gorgeous frames.

Very nice! Clean and simple. Are you a male or female?
I've been eyeing one for my girlfriend, imagined really similar as yours but with an VO tall stack stem + VO randonneur bar and an alfine IGH.
Nice bike man :)

Nice bike. I'd been eyeing one to build up for my wife, but I ended up going with a vintage mixte and rebuilding that instead. Probably was a mistake and if I had it to do over again, I'd have gone with the Buena Vista (I say this bogged down in a repaint after having bought replacement parts for everything not fork/frame anyway).

I built my girlfriend a B-Vista up a couple of years ago as a commuter. Hers is the 42cm size w/ 26" wheels. Single speed, fenders, rear rack similar to your build. She rides the crap out of it to and from work and school (MD/PhD student).

Good choice of the brake levers. I made the mistake of buying the VO levers for my townie only to realize that they are flimsy pieces of crap.

Thanks, all!
I'm a dude, but love the mixte frame. Such elegant lines. Also got tired of the high step over height on my track bike so was looking for a change.
I'd shopped around for a vintage mixte, but couldn't find anything in my size. The Buena Vista was the last bike standing after realizing many of the other mixte frames only come in small sizes.
I was really on the fence between the white and graphite frame and just went with white, because in general I like lighter colored bikes. My girlfriend's vintage Schwinn is lavender with white accents and it's stunning. This makes a nice compliment to hers.

Which levers are those? I was getting ready to buy these:

or these:

Thoughts?

What size is this mixte?

The frame is 54cm.
Levers are tektro CL740s (if I'm reading their site right). http://www.tektro.com/_english/01_products/01_prodetail.php?pid=157&sortname=Lever&sort=1&fid=3

You know what? Looking more closely, I think that's exactly what I have on my bike. I like 'em. Look good. Feel good. I'll get a complete parts list from the shop at some point. We're still tweaking.

As long as it's Mr. Whites pure blue, I suppose tweaking is ok.
Really nice bike though. I'm glad you like the levers so I'm going to order them now.
