HI
I came across this forum, and registered myself for future use. Here is my bike in use(Nothing special though, bought from a garage sale for 80 euro).
My abilities:
1. can change the tube and tires (both of course)
2. can fix up seat and handle
3. can pump front tire in 2 minutes, rare one in 2 and half min
4. can change the brake and gear wires.
5. lubricate every spinning/moving thing on that piece of machine.
One thing I can't do is, Riding backward :lol:
I'd really like to know, how to clean/wash a bicycle? Next time I'll do a forum search

Welcome to bike forums! Washing a bike is easy, just have to stay away from high pressure water, because it will work its way past the seals and that's not good. A fine mist will do, just soap it up (I use automotive washing formulas) and rinse thoroughly. I like to use a toothbrush to get into the hard to reach areas. After it is dried, I wax it. People laugh but it really helps to shed dirt. Make sure you apply oil to the chain,derailleurs and around the cable where they enter the housing.

You should be good to go!

I still remember, my father rubbing chain with an old toothbrush and waxing his bik's mudguards and handle. I had another idea, once I saw compressed kerosene oil, all you have to do is, spray on all gears and dirty parts and let it flow,repeat the process until all greasy dust is gone. Or tarpin oil.
