I bought a very cool Dutch bike and have got it reconditioned except for the darn AXA HR dynamo. When I first got the bike it was siezed. A little work with some engine stray loosened it and now it spins great. The problem is while it spins fine it doesn't seem to produce a current. I am thinking that because the dynamo was siezed the inside probably cannot produce current.

Any ideas what I should do. These aren't very expensive so I could buy a new one but I do love fixing things.

If it is not putting out current you probably either have a broken connection wire, or one of the windings has broken down internally. Connection wires can be fixed, but the windings aren't worth the effort.
