The Quiet One

Hi everyone,
My name is Dave and I currently live in Oshkosh, WI. I am 53 years old and have been riding since I was 7 years old. I learned to ride on my older brother's bike after I was ordered not to touch it :).
I bought a Felt Z100 road bike about a month ago and my goal is to complete "Race the Lake" - a 90 mile ride around Lake Winnebago (the large inland lake South of Green Bay). I also have a Trek 720 (really heavy, but a nice steel frame ride), that I use for riding on the nearby gravel trails. I've lived in Oshkosh about 4 years and, so far, have found it to be very bicycle friendly. The drivers seem mostly courteous toward bikes and I can honestly say I've never had a close call with a car <knocking wood>.
Well, that's about all for now. I hope to learn a lot here, and if I'm lucky, contribute something someone else may find useful.
