Foo - halloween

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.
All my Halloween costumes have always sucked. I usually buy some cheap mask and make a shirt from goodwill look bloody or something. This year I am going to change my ways. So far I have two costumes mind. I could be a gauze mummy, just lots and lots of kerlix or santa clause. Full santa gear down to the beard. Any more ideas?

If you decided to go as couch or mangopumpkin I'm sure we'd be able to come up plenty of ideas.

You should be a scary Santa or the clown from IT. Hmmmm, do you like to look scary, funny, or neither?
Scary santa might be cool. IT scares me.

Go to instructables for more ideas. I made this (http://www.instructables.com/id/How-To--Make-a-Chainsaw-Arm/).
That is cool. These people know me so they would never let me in with something sharp when I been drinking, but cardboard chainsaw might work.

Got any old bike chains lying around? :D

I went as Waldo last year. Made for some fun times.
Is that last one couch? If so, his van down by the river is larger than I would have expected.
If you want something cheap, just go as Prince Harry.

You could also not even show up, then later when people asked where you were, claim you were there dressed as Waldo.

Get a large piece of foam rubber and shape it like the outline of Gumby, then split it down the middle so you can pull it over your head cover you front and back, then spray paint in camo and carry an AR-15. You can be Gumbo....
I think so far scary santa is a pretty cool idea. I dont think the kilt thing is a good idea. I like the chain saw idea though. Humm I still have plenty of time.
I'm going as http://tvscreener.com/wp-content/uploads/wilfred-close-up.jpg

Heck,in this economy I'm just trying to be cost effective.
Tell her thanks anyhow for her input.

The recent talk of kilts on here has made me want to try them, so as an excuse I think I'm going to be Mel Gibson's character in Braveheart.... I wanted to go as the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles with some friends, but those costumes would just be way too complex to make and look good, or way too expensive to buy.

Are you anythinng like most of the other foosters? If so, and you really want to scare people, go dressed up as a normal person.

I dressed up as a normal person last year... people didn't get it. It was at a party with a bunch of "bro" types too, and some of them seemed legitimately mad that I wasn't more dressed up. I think people would dig the Braveheart thing.

Well, if you've time to prepare, then instead of Gumby try carving that foam into a couple overshoes in the shape of the heads/busts of the Bach brothers Johann S or Johann A or Johann C), and then make a carboard tube from knee to neck like an old bumper jack . . . then you could be a Jack-in-the-Bachs (old car club party costume, careful on the placement of the dongle though if alocohol is involved, as some folks get grabby)
