Well the one that is still for sale does not have a X-4 stamp on the brake bridge but I do not know for sure if all of them had them. Also this one was all jazzed up with DuraAce STI that postdates the frame a few years.
The seller did not give a good pic to see that on the one that just sold but atleast it has period correct C-record parts.
Unless you get the complete bike with the pantographed C-Rec I think your better off just buying a nice SLX or even TSX Bianchi. Aside from the paint (which I think was only European models since it was never shown in the catalog here) and the pantographing there is no difference between an X-4 and Mondiale nor a '89 Super Leggera or Giro. They all SLX in '89 just different groups.

Thank you...very good insight. I am just learning about the vintage Bianchi and was wondering about the comment regarding the Mondiale or Super Leggera... I know so much more about Schwinn Paramounts. So I really apprecaite your expertise and comments.

Interestingly, there is a 1986 Specialissima Superleggera currently on Ebay Italy for a BIN of a massive $3200. It looks very like my 1985 but has a 1987 Championship decal. I'd love an expert opinion on that

I would say it is a '87 model and the seller is just confused thinking they made the commerative bike before the Championship race.
Nice looking bike though but I would not spend $3500 on it.
