Hi all!
I'm a cycling noob that got started commuting around Toronto last summer, on an old beater I bought cheap off Craigslist. I loved it so much I ditched my monthly transit pass and haven't looked back. Riding in the city is challenging, but a ton of fun, and I love the mix of practicality and fitness. I'm getting more serious about my cycling now, and looking at buying my first real bike. I want to start getting into riding purely recreationally in addition to commuting, doing longer fitness rides, trails, etc.
As I mentioned, I'm a total beginner, so I'm very interested in reading the advice and opinions of more experienced riders on these boards. In fact, I think i'll head over to the hybrid forum and ask my first right now!

Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.
