Classic & Vintage - Help me pick a head badge for my FrankenSchwinn

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.
I know it's not C&V, but I'm having a great time with this 2008 Madison, riding lots of hot miles, and have received a surprising number of compliments from passerbys for this bike. I originally picked it up off of CL to cannibalize for my son's 2007 Madison frame. Then I proceeded to rebuild it with better parts.
I was thinking that I would like to put a C&V Schwinn head badge on it.
Which Schwinn head badge would you recommend?
Thanks,

I'd be creative about it...a headbadge that said Schwing!
My favorite is this one:

I would install a Schwinn oval badge in blue with white letters like this:

Now that's a candidate.

Hard to beat that one...

With all that blue, I agree the oval one would be sharp, only the ovals were used on the lower priced Schwinns.
What you also need is my blue Brooks Professional. That would easily make your Madison 10mph faster!

Swear to God?
This looks like the original Madison head badge.

A early 70's Schwinn "World" headbadge with the globe would be cool.

How is that compared to a standard B17? I've heard it works better if you have more saddle to bar drop. Which is the opposite of a standard Brooks.

i would go with this one- it just fits your colors in my opinion
Got my vote. Good match for the new Schwinn.
Too bad it can't magically transform the bike into an old Schwinn :)

I'm not certain I follow your question all that well? I was all tongue in cheek about RFC going faster--- just because he would be on a Blue saddle. I know nothing about what saddle works better on track/fixie bike.
Well, I dunno, but if you want one of those white Schwinn oval head badges let me know. I found a couple of them in my cellar the other day and I have no use for them. Paint as desired. Actually, I think they're aluminum, so polished to a mirror like finish and painted with blue letters outlined in white, that would look pretty snazzy. I think.

Jen Green created this badge for a bike I built for the PA Breat Cancer Coalition back in 2007. The pictures don't do her work justice; it was like a piece of jewelry.
Thanks all for these great ideas and rhm for your kind offer.

Here's the headbadge on my Match-built Paramount, simple but shiny:

That is just beautiful. I take it you stripped the paint.

No, that's the way it came to me, I believe it was unpainted originally.

You should make this into a sticker and slap it on there:

+1 for my vote.
Does it need to be Schwinn? You could go totally custom. http://www.headbadges.com/ I've seen Jen's work up close and it looks very nice. Like bike jewelry.
I thought I'd share the final result. Thanks so much for your thoughts and suggestions.
