Singlespeed & Fixed Gear - fit calc and kilo tt pro

I'd like to purchase a kilo tt pro when they hopefully restock in the fall at BD. Based on the results of the fit calculator I believe that a 57cm would be in order. Anyone care to share an opinion?

I seem to fall in between the 55 and 57. Looking at the competitive fit, the c-t seems best for the 57 but the TT seems best with the 55. I have read it's better to get a little smaller then a little larger. Guidance appreciated.

55cm (c-c) is 58cm(c-t) with TT of 560mm and standover of 32 inches
57cm (c-c) is 60cm(c-t) with TT of 575mm and standover of 33 inches

It's better to get a bike that fits.

TT is more important is it not? You'll have more flexibility raising your saddle than having to bring your seat forward and risk having to get a shorter stem if that's not enough. I'd say go for the 55.

No one can really tell you what will work for you, but make sure the measurements are accurate before relying on the output, and serioulsy consider what type of fit you want. Lots of people erroneously go with the competative fit when they should go with the Eddy or French fit. Also, consider this fit calculator is designed for road bikes with drop bars and hoods. If you don't intend to set your bike up like that it is less applicable.

I am about the same height as you. Last time I plugged my numbers into the fit calculator it spit out larger numbers than you got. Its a good idea to measure 3-4 times and take the average.

In my experience, its better to err on the larger side. I normally ride 58cm frames (competative fit). I can always make a size larger work for me, and set it up more like an Eddy fit, but its more difficult to get a smaller size to work because I either end up needing more stem spacers than I would like, or riding with too much drop.

Oh I hear you. I'm somewhere between a 57-62cm road, and 18-21" MTB, depending on setup and application. Bike fit is a lot more complicated than shoes, and there's actually a lot more tolerance for error than most weenies are willing to admit.
