Masters Racing (All Disciplines) - MTB race report 8/28

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.
I started racing again after a 20 year hiatus. I got 3rd in Beginner 50+ last month and got 6th last Saturday--with a relocated, dislocated finger from practice two days before the event. It was pretty shocking after the crash to see my left pinky sideways  Even more creepy to push it back into place. I thought I wasn't going to be able to race nor do my upcoming century but I was able to race by buddy taping it to the ring finger. The race had 1750 feet of climbing in 11 miles.

Nice job on your return to racing. 170 ft/mile is a lot of climbing. It would be a race that I avoided.
