They have snakes on sale to ball pythons . i like ball pythons but there sometimes hard to get to eat and that scares me

Snakes do not eat bearded dragons. Mostly mice and in the case of very large snakes, rabbits.

I do not own any beardies, but I treat them on a regular basis. They make pretty good pets. I don't think I've ever had one bite me, although I'm sure it's possible. All reptiles can bite.
The key with these guys is you have to get the husbandry right. The temp, humidity, light in the enclosure has to be right. Same for diet. If you mess this up, they will get sick. You need to do some research before you go to buy one. Trust me, the kid a petsmart will not have enough knowledge--don't necessarily believe what they are telling you...they probably have about an hour of reptile training.
Tip--do NOT put that calcium sand as substrate in the bottom of the enclosure! They will eat it. I don't care if it says it is edible...it is not, and it causes impactions. Just get regular fine grit playground sand. I know the calcium sand looks cool, but it causes more problems than anything else combined.

Are you getting adults or young ones? We fed the young crickets, if was fun to watch them chase after them and sap them up. When they got older, they just kind of sat there, ate, and pooped.

Ours just died last year of old age. Honestly, after the first couple of years, they are boring as crap, I would never get another one.

My buddy got one for his kid. They were going to make a fortune selling baby dragons to others. That didn't quite work out. Beardy somehow got out of her cage and waddled away. It was a relief. Watching the ugly-ass thing lay around turning bugs into poop was depressing as hell.

I would get a ceramic dog. In most cases, all you have to teach it is sit, or lie down or stay, one time.

I got him right now in a 20 long. got a reptiglow 10.0uvb 24 inch bulb. useing tiles for substrate have a hide for him.Now i just have to find a cheap healthy way to feed him

I highly suggest that you talk to the place that you got him from. It's really important that you know the responsibilities and what you are getting into when dealing with another life. He is depending upon you and knowing about his food and what his needs are key factors in keeping him alive. Please call the shop. Or go there, they can sell you the food. I hope you have heat for him as well as the UV bulb.

We've had a bearded dragon for about 4 years. We feed him a lot of lettuce, some raspberries, strawberries, scrambled eggs, and (occasionally) crickets. We like Custard, but he's kind of dull. Mostly because we also have a boxer with enormous amounts of personality. So the poor lizard lacks in comparison.
