Mountain Biking - Diamondback Mason now available at Jenson...

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.
The component spec for the $2199.00 is incredible IMO. It's like "roll-back-the-clock-days" at Diamondback.
interesting. an all-mountain hardtail 29er. that's different.
Different how?

Sorry I am a noob. I should have said "different to me". I've never heard of those bikes (and never heard of Banshee or Canfield, period). I didn't mean it's weird or wrong, just not what I expect when I think of all-mountain.
No prob.
I was skep at first, but after watching people shred wagon wheels...I'm open to testing one out. Big issue is the lack of test bikes. I'm not going to drop $2200 on something that I "may" hate. I'd be a little more likely to go 650b.

What's the kit, dude?
Tom
Since I can't ride like Jinya, I would buy a FS bike instead even though that means it won't have nearly the fork travel. That would be a good trade IMHO.

Mason's dont ship till late November early December. Pre-ordered one today. Cant wait to throw a leg over this thing.
You freakin' suck, yami. (yet i love you now so much more) As soon as you get it, you gotta give me a real blue-collar review instead of one tainted with marketing hype.
Very happy for you. This is truly the first wagon i could actually see myself riding, though the Honzo may be more practical as an all-around trail bike given the shorter stays and 68deg HA.
I'm looking forward to hearing how she handles pedaling single track...not just descending.
Stoked!

Will do man will do. Ill make sure to include some vids as well. Im kind of a Diamondback homer but ill try to keep it as unbiased as I can. We have the perfect type of terrain around here for puttin a bike like that through the paces as well. Cant wait!
I'm almost ready to hack out my Parker and Komodo on the Bay and get one of these. The Dragon 650 looks nice too, but priced higher and spec'd lower than the Mason. I (just like many) may be slightly hesitant at the HA for gen trail riding with my XC buds, but the rest of the geo may make it work, who knows.
