Road Cycling - Any Madison Wisconsin riders?

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.
Im looking to get into a group of road bikers. Ive purchased a high end Bianchi and have been riding about 14 miles 6 days per week for fun. I would like to join up with other riders, but affraid of getting into a group that I would be way over my head. Ive heard that road bikers can be up tight with new riders. Anyone from my area that I can hook up with. thanks, DH

I had to deal with the same issue about a year and a half ago. There must be some clubs in your area that would have scheduled rides for your level. In most cases, the shortest ride would be about 25 miles. Probably, you should be ready to handle a 35-50 mile ride, since that would be in the moderate level. The clubs tend to be very open and friendly.
