Trying my darndest to date this bike, but I'm having trouble. It has the circle crankset, 5 speed, and brown. I cant find a serial # anywhere, its not where my racer # is, by the rear wheel.

Any ideas how I can date it?

Ashtabula cranks have the date stamped on them. You'll need to remove it to see it.

Post a pic of the bike.

Sierra brown is about a 68 to about 73 color for schwinn.

If you post the serial number and its location it is very easy to know the date the frame was made. If the number is on the head tube it is mid 1970 or newer and if it is on the left rear drop out it is mid 1970 or older. This site http://www.angelfire.com/rant/allday101/SchwinnCodes1.html will define the frame build date even further. Roger
