Bicycle Mechanics - Brake levers with disc brakes

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.
Looking to convert my avid bb7 disc brake from flat bar to to drop bars. It is a single speed so I wouldn't need a sti shifter, just a single speed brake hood. What will work well with my brakes?

do you have the road or MTB version of the BB7? if you have the MTB version, you will need a set of levers originally designed for v-brakes, like this http://www.canecreek.com/component-other?product=drop-v for drop bars, if you have the road version, you can use just about any lever you like, as long as it wasn't v-brake specific, like this http://www.canecreek.com/component-other?product=levers-scr-5 for example.

Since you are not using a combo brifter, you have a choice ..
V brake compatible brake lever, mountain caliper..
or a shorter cable pulling aero or cable out the top brake lever
and the road caliper that uses that shorter cable pull..
