Reason i say this is i am never ever bitten .They just leave me alone not sure why but this last few weeks they been coming after me.so my guess is there are just more of them out there

Nope. It's over. We had a hot, dry weekend and the mosquitoes are done here the epicenter of the outbreak (DFW).
I have been bitten only once that I can recall since the spraying began in Dallas. I seldom get bitten anyway.

Maybe they have a longer than normal mutation period.

Influenza is perhaps the worst possible virus for a pandemic....by the time you show symptoms, you've been contagious for days. Imagine that in a major airport...say Hartsfield or Heathrow.
