Forum Suggestions & User Assistance - Is there a way to unsubscribe to certain sub groups

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

Is there a way that one can filter out certain sub groups on this forum when viewing new posts. For example, I could care less about commuting, bmx, etc. I would love to narrow the field down when I hit the "view new posts" button. Is that possible? Thanks.
Not really, but you could develop tunnel vision.... it seems to work well. ;)

I just go to "view new posts" and review the items that sound interesting.
I rarely view individual/specific forums.

That's what I do, but the forum is so active that typically there are a few pages to view, and I would love to be able to filter out those forums in which I have zero interest - it would save clutter and review time.
