Hey all! What's going on? Just signed up to the forum, looks like a whole lotta great convo goin' on here! I'm in DC and hating the cold right now! I've been riding for three years now, commute daily from Arlington,VA to DC and just started racing last fall. I've been looking to get on a fixie, but still weighing my options on what kind to buy, beginner ratio, etc. Any advice?? I've been watching ebay like a hawk!

Welcome. I started commuting about 3 1/2 years ago. I lived in Arlington and commuted to Crystal City when I started. Doing the reverse commute to Alexandria now. I haven't been motivated enough to get into racing. But I'm sure someone with some expertise in racing and fixies will pop up. You probably noticed the other forums specifically for those subjects. Have fun.
