Are there any other examples that people know of?

Only one i can think of is the H+Son SL42

I'm pretty sure Google makes a few.

Cmon help the guy out...OP first it would be better if you said what kind of rim you are looking for, like box, deep v, aero...

I really just want a deep v looking rim that is all black but can still run a brake. Basically like the H+son but one where I don't have to build the whole wheel because I am incompetent

Obviously posting here I'm leaving myself open to a lot of harsh criticism, but it was worth a try.

Not super deep and probably costs a pretty penny, but hey--it's Campy, son.

Another not so deep rim, but h plus son archetype is machined.

But it wont stay black when you put brakes grabbing on the rim..
& if you are not using rim brakes why not just use a disc rim?

velocity does powdercoat.. colors & black

Wrong. Velocity's black rims are anodized.

I laughed a lot to that.

But it is surprisingly durable. I have several of these (~20+ years old, non-aero) on road bikes and the anodizing is still pretty much intact:

John, are those Omega's? I have an Omega hoop on my road bike. I let a careless friend borrow it once, she popped three spokes and rode 10 more miles with the brake rubbing off the ano finish in one spot.

So you're looking for a wheelset with black anodized sidewalls?

John, are those Omega's?

Yes. I bought them new, took the wrappers off myself and built the wheels.

I'm calling shenanigans. That is to say - I question that these rims have had normal road miles over those 20 years. Notice I said normal... not hard. I might go so far as to say that these rims have seen little use. But, I am not saying that outright, just asking for clarification. Maybe you rode them 40 miles a day for 20 years but only braked when pulling back into the driveway?

As you suggest, perhaps they don't make them like they used to. I don't remember exactly when I built those wheels, but I bought the rims from Willy St Bike Shop in Madison WI when I was working as a mechanic there. I moved from Madison in August 1988, so the wheels are no newer than that at least.

Here is my Omega. Put into service around 1990. Rode hard until 1996. Moth balled until 2010. Ridden daily in fair weather since then.
