I was watching a Buy-It-Now item that seemed to be listed continuosly for about 2 years, until someone with too much money finally bought it. How do you list an item that way ? I've always just done the 7 day auction, with a relist if it doesn't sell.

I've seen similar things before where listings go on and on. Was the listing you watched from a store or commercial account or from an individual person?

I don't really know but I wonder if commercial accounts don't have different terms than private accounts. Private accounts have to keep paying with each listing, maybe commercial accounts only pay when they sell something.

Seemed like an individual account. Feeback counter was only about 50, and no other items for sale.

I buy and sell a little bit on ebay. I usually sell with buy-it-now and list them as "good til sold" which means it stays listed until it is sold, however long that may take. I have one item listed now that might sell tomorrow or in 3 months.

yes, it's possible to just have a program repost every time it expires.

I've seen sellers just continuously extend the bid time. It'd get down to the last day, then suddenly it's back to 27 days or so.

I didn't realize there was a "good til sold" option. I might have to try that if the fee isn't too high. I know you can relist, but that involves a fee everytime, which would really add up month after month.
