hey all i'm a newbie. I have been into mountain biking for a while, but just recently got into road bikes. i love the simplicity of the fixed gear and single speed bikes. i'm not ready to go straight to fixed gear, so i thought i would try a single speed bike. i started looking for a bike. local craigslist didn't have what i wanted, at least for the right price, so I went to the scrap yard. there in the the back of a old truck with a tree growing through it was my soon to be new bike. it is a 1976 raleigh grand prix. it was in rough shape, but all the parts were there. they sold it to me for scrap weight, which was 9.50 so i couldnt pass it up. here she is complete. sorry i didn't get one of it when i got it. next bike i will do that.
