Singlespeed & Fixed Gear - Which Bullhorm Bars?

Hey guys, after seeing Nashbar having their 20% off one item sale, I am looking to get a set of Bullhorns, they have two models, which one would you guys recommend being the best/most comfortable.

The black ones have a slight drop to them, which effectively gives you less room for comfortable hand positions on the tops.

Which one would you recommend then? I usually ride holding the top bar/flat bar anyway. Probably the Standard bullhorns then?

Also, what are the advantages of the aero bars given they have the drop? I have never ridden them before, just the standard drops and bullhorn.

They'll let you get a bit lower and more aggressive if you're into that. Or I guess if you could set them a little higher you could get a slightly more upright position on the tops while maintaining the same position on the horns. I currently ride regular bullhorns because I have enough saddle to bar drop on my bike already.

Also drop bullhorns look totally badass.

The black bars are similar to my old bars(http://www.profile-design.com/profile-design/products/base-bars/aluminum-base-bars/airwing.html) but much cheaper.The bars were comfy without being to low,but that depends on the rise of your stem.


Length/rise of stem.

I have those silver ones, just not on the bike right now. They're pretty comfy, but don't have the amount of reach that I though they would from the picture.

Here's my opinion having ridden both sets:

The silver one's are more comfortable for riding on the top of, as stated above you do have more hand positions. However I tended to stay on the tops 90% of the time, only using the horns when climbing or when off the seat to sprint.

The black one's are a little less comfy up on top, again since you can't move your hands as wide. Although I do sometimes grap or rest on the bars on the slight down angle before the bend since it's nice to switch it up. I am in the drops quiet a bit though, as I've ridden the bars more (nitto rb-021's) I'm feeling more and more comfortable in them all the time.

The bars you are looking at (the black one's) look similar to nitto 002's, so best of both worlds maybe since not as much drop?

All that being said, the pursuit/drop bullhorns will make your bike look way cooler/more streed cred/sw8t fixie swagg, so get those.

Awesome, thanks gUys, I will get the aero model. What size should I get? I was thinking the 42 or 44 cm, 38 seems too small. My drops are currently 42cm.
