St. Catherine's at Bell Gable Chapel, taken March 2012, and converted to sepia. Gothic style, with stained glass windows and doors from a church in Finland. Construction started in 1986, and was completed 12 years later. The man who built the church fell 35 ft. to the concrete and survived after months of recovery.

How recent are we talking here? Recent being relative and all.

When I asked that question about the sunrise contest, I was told to just post up your picture and not worry about it. I even got some votes, though didn't win. :D

If it's a good photo and you took it, go ahead and post it. The "recent" rule is to try and inspire people to get out and take more photos.

65' dome and stairs inside the grand entrance of a foreclosed home I was selling. Had to lay on the marble floor to get that shot even with an ultrawide angle lens.

Do the Finns know they're missing some pieces, and how did someone steal them and get them all the way there unnoticed?

Not a great picture with regards to clarity or composition, but I suppose a skyline has lots of architecture in it, no? Significant to me because the smear in the right middle is an airplane taking off from Logan airport yesterday 11 years after two other planes out of Logan were used as weapons showing that we still go on.
Obviously, I'm a crappy photographer because it was actually fairly dark out when I took the picture but for some reason I always overcompensate for the dark and things shot dusk and after come out looking like they were taking mid-afternoon with a crappy sensor and lots of noise rather than like they were taken at night time. Here's another example (not to be entered in any contest about architecture unless it was an attempt to make an architect sick to his stomach) taken an hour or two later at night though you wouldn't know it:

Don't usually care to shoot buildings & such, but I did snap some today that might be alright. Still deciding between 2, though...

Now I see it. I was looking at it from a top down perspective wondering what it was, very futuristic.
The irony is, I am distantly related to the person it is named after. (St Elmo Acosta's wife was my great great grandfather's sister).
Meh, this one I guess.

That's pretty cool (Acosta folks)... Thanks.. At first I thought it was the Fuller Warren bridge (hence the edit), which has almost the same structure but longer and it's the next bridge over, and then I remembered where I was :).. Yes, I was just under it where there is a nice Riverwalk thingie going on.

I was a little confused myself. I misread something along the way and thought this was the "people you miss" thread :P
But while I am flattered to be nominated as Foo photog of the month, a) I didn't submit anything, and b) all of my photos are crap.
