I have Huchinson Mosquito Air light 26x2.0 tires on my bike. I want to get new tires with different brands. How would I know the max size of the tire my bike frame can handle? Would there be any issues if I get something like 2.3?

You're the only one that can best answer that question. You don't say which frame you have. How much clearance do you have with the 2.0 Mosquitos? That should give you an idea of how much bigger you can go.

I have a 10 yrs old XC bike and it is Easton taperwall frame (15"). There are some clearance with the 2.0 tire. But I dont know how big are the 26x2.3 tires. I went to the LBS and I saw those 26x2.35 tires on a bike, they dont look that much bigger than mine. I only worry about the back because there are a lot of clearance on the front.
