We have been under drought conditions in Northwest Tennessee all summer, but it has been raining everyday since Friday from hurricane Isaac passing through. I read that through August we had 18 inches for the year and last year at the same time we had 48 inches. We haven’t received a lot of rain from this storm, just showers off and on all day.
It does but a damper on bike riding. I usually ride everyday to the coffee shop, then to the gym, then to the office, and back home in the afternoon, about 10 miles total. I ride to church on Sundays. I think I’m having withdrawal symptoms since I haven’t ridden since Thursday. Rain is in the forecast today but I am glad to get the rain since it is needed so badly. I guess I could ride in the rain but my wife is afraid I might melt. Ha!

I ride to church on Sundays.
If I did that in our morning humidity, I'd have no problem at all having a pew to myself EVERY Sunday! :D

My daddy spent his life lookin' up at the sky
He'd cuss kick the dust, sayin' the sun is way too dry
If it clouds up in the city, the weather man complains
But where I come from, rain is a good thing
Rain makes corn, corn makes whiskey
Whiskey makes my baby feel a little frisky
Back roads are cloggin' up
My buddies pile up in my truck
We hunt our hunnies down
We'll take 'em in the town
Start washin' all our worries down the drain
Rain is a good thing.

I know exactly what you are going through, I have not ridden since last Wednesday and I have been riding three or four days a week. I was looking forward to a three day weekend and because of Issac I did not get any riding in. Then to make it worse tomorrow is suppose to be a decent day and I am usually off Wednesdays, of course this week I have to work because I was off Monday.

Our drought condition started in April. Everyone had to conserve water and I took it to heart and my water bill for the summer was the lowest it has ever been.
However that may have been down to other factors. We have had the wettest summer since 1912 and I have been up to my ankles in drought. Flooded roads- debris washed down off the fields and a cool wind to go with it did not make for many rides of note this year.
However September has arrived and it looks like the Sun has come out to play- the wind and rain are somewhere else and all I have to do is get fit enough to ride the bike without it being training rides to get fitness back.
