Foo - I have a mancard revocation review coming up :\

I was with some friends at the store and they were shopping for swimsuits. One came in and said "what about this one?" and I pointed out:

"That's not a swimsuit, that's a ballet specific leotard".

Everybody looked at me weird and I had to quickly correct...

"No no no... hold on... I have a daughter who took ballet and gymnastics and bla bla bla..." :(

They still put me up for revocation review...

Ha. I know more about girls' clothes than my sister, since she has no eye for what her kid is actually wearing.

Better still, I used to go shopping with my best female friend all the time. I know so much about dresses, pants, and even bras that my wife questions me sometimes. But, hey, I was single and got to watch a platonic friend try on clothes several times a month. My friends may have thought I was a little odd, but how many of them had a platonic female friend ask, "can you see too much if I bend over in this tank top?" Or, "can you see my underwear if I sit down in this skirt? I am really trusting your opinion here," or even "is this bra see through in this lighting?"

You are a father and a good one at that. Trust me, you will never lose your man card if continue being a good daddy.

Thanks for the support. I will invoke the Daddy Exception Rules when I present my case before my local ManCard Revocation Committee. I also read that the "Daddy Exception Rules" where created to cut down on the number of women out there that grow up with daddy-issues. Women with daddy-issues are bad for us all and therefore Daddy Exception Rules must prevail.

That shall be my defense.

What is this man card you speak of? I have never received mine.

I believe anything done in daddy duty is pretty much exempt. My soon to be 14 yr old step-daughter can attest to that. I spent 3 hours in the mall hair salon while she got her hair bleached before her cousins wedding. And the younger the child, the more you can get away with :)

Not only does being a good dad exempt you from mancard revocation review in such circumstances, it adds bonus points for when you might actually be subject to a valid review. Being a good dad is the pinnacle of manhood and manliness - especially when dealing with little girls and their girly needs.
