Wow, the weather was unusually calm, so some paragliders (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Paragliding) caught the thermals up to the top of Mont Blanc (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mont_Blanc), at 15,782 feet or 4,810 meters. The guy doing the video sure got a surprise when he got to the top.

What a cool video. It's like the exact opposite of all those GoPro videos (http://gopro.com/videos/) launching off cliffs!

Today?

We were there and saw paragliders today. One looked like the got into a bit of trouble at one point.

Neat. Too bad they used mostly white lettering for the translation subscripts. I didn't even know they were there for awhile. (Just trivial, don't mind me.)

That's amazing that all of them were out to take advantage of the perfect weather that day. It would scare me to death.

Today?

We were there and saw paragliders today. One looked like the got into a bit of trouble at one point.

We also watched several people paragliding at the Matterhorn yesterday. It looks so graceful.
