My grape tomatoes are almost done. I have a roma tomato planted about a month ago that has a few little green ones on it. I also put an eggplant in a pot - I'm curious to see how well it does.

My lime tree has some ripe ones on it but both lemon trees won't be ready for a few months yet.

I used to eat tomatoes with salt like that when I was a kid. My parents would get a crate of them from a roadside stand and we'd eat them like apples.

I love the smell of fresh lime oil. When you roll a fresh lime on the counter before cutting it, the oil gets on your hand and it smells wonderful.

It is very good. The only bad thing is that key limes are so tiny it takes dozens of them to get enough juice for a pie.

My aloe vera plants survive despite me. They are tough critters.

Ah, a true connoisseur. I think that most people don't realize that key limes are a special variety of lime and assume that key lime pie is the name for any lime pie with a creamy topping.

For the first time in a few years, it's been a good season for tomatoes here. First year trying cucumbers and it has been successful, been doing great with eggplant and green beans yet again. Peppers have been great here.

I've been freezing tomato sauce from my San Marzano tomatoes and will be for awhile as the plants are loaded. The fingerling potatoes are doing well also.

Cut it into 1.5" slices, brush with olive oil and balsamic vinegar and grill like a hamburger. I put soft goat cheese on the bun or melt swiss cheese on the eggplant during its final minutes on the grill.

Ina Garten's Roasted Eggplant Dip (http://www.barefootcontessa.com/recipes.aspx?RecipeID=218&S=0)is another favorite.
