Mountain Biking - Freeride clothing..or mountain biking clothing in general

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

I was watching this show on skating and I noticed that they have lots of different clothing choices that they can wear just around. Do you think that there will ever be freeriding clothing or mountain biking clothing (t-shirts, jeans, real socks) will ever become the mainstream? I know that there is a few mountain biking clothing; fox is is one. Or would the whole movement of freeride would backfire if bike companys went too mainstream with it and it would cease being "free"ride.
What are ya'll's thoughts?

Come to bc...it already is. Sobrio and others have clothing that is being worn everywhere. I think it depends on region.

Not much in the way of mainstream clothing here, nobody wears mountain biking clobber in my area except me! six six one tee's, shoes, socks, dirty habit tee's raceface tees, Roach tee's in a way i hope the fashion doesnt become mainstream, but thats jsut me, i like being individual and not following the crowd, but i spose thats a price i will have to pay if mountain biking does become mainstream..
