I recently had the worst experience I have ever had with any type of a store.
I placed an order on their website, paid for the item. within an hour a friend of mine showed me another place that had a bike that was a better fit for what I wanted to do.
I immediately sent an email, and tried to call them. They never answer the phone, you get a voice mail and they never return calls.
A day later I get an email from them telling me that if I want to cancel the order I have to pay a 15% restocking fee!
I refused to pay any fees and again ask for my money back, they answer back 2 days later and now tell me they have started to build the bike and in addition to the restocking fee I now owe them 3 hours of their mechanics time at $55.00 an hour.
I had no other recourse but to dispute the PayPal charge. I let them know that the charge has been disputed adn if they ship the bike I will refuse delivery.
I then receive an email for them with the subject line: Red2Bicycle law case, and he has copied someone from a free online law site telling me that their law office is now handling this case.I then Get an email from them saying the order has shipped with no tracking info.
A week later a package is dropped of at my house with no signature required, and they have notified paypal that the item I purchased has been delivered to me and accepted by me. They shipped me an old broken wheel in a tattered box and claimed to paypal that I had received the entire bike.
Paypal ruled in my favor and returned the $$ to my account.
