Mountain Biking - Any experience with DiaTech hubs?
Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.
I just picked up a set of DiaTech hubs. They were brand new and a trade for parts I wasn't going to use anyway so I figured "why not". I can't find much at all about them online, though. From what little bit I've found, I think they are the SLV hubs. Are these worth lacing to some rims just for the sake of having matching hubs and sealed bearings or should I not go to the trouble? Right now I've got a Shimano Deore rear hub and a cheap-ish front hub that I can't seem to identify.
Post pics and/or model number. That would help out a little bit.

IMHO, it's not worth the effort to replace the Shimano Deore unless you're going high end. The front hub is another situation.
