Hi.
I'm new to the forum.
I used to be a bike messenger several years ago and I am just now getting back into biking. My wife bought me a brand new bike just today for my birthday. I have recently completed my 41st trip around the sun.

I like good movies, I listen to conservative talk-radio and sports almost exclusively. I like music from the golden age of rock and roll: the 70s.

I'm about 6' 4" tall and weigh about 290 but I used to be a fighter and played football in high school and college, so it is mostly muscle (mostly).

I like warm weather, but I also like to deprive myself of it. That is why I live in Cleveland, OH.

Oh and by the way PITTSBURGH SUCKS!!!!! Sorry about that...force of habit.

Anyway, sports are pretty important here. We even have a football team here. They are called the Cleveland Browns. But we call them the "CLOWNS" for short. Our team was elliminated from contention for the playoffs after the second week of the season. Pittsburgh, however, somehow managed to trick, cheat, and bamboozle their way into the playoffs.

Here in Cleveland, we are not very jealous...PITTSBURGH SUCKS!!!.. But we are not happy about the turn of events for this season. DAMMIT!

But just wait 'til next year. The Browns will be back. And this time, we're going to win a game.

Well, enough about Cleveland. There's only one thing you bike people will want to remember when riding in Cleveland: If you are unhappy about the weather here, just wait a minute or two...it'll get worse.

That's what my mother in Rocky River says. Where in Cleveland are you?

Be sure to head down to the OCBC this weekend for the Marmot Meander Ride.
10 mile casual ride with food and beverages served.
There will be at least two ski-bikes on the ride and you can have your shot at riding them down the sledding hill.....if you dare.

Wooo ski bikes! I say, I'm sorry to miss it, but not sorry that I'm enjoying 60s and sunny weather here in Co after relocating from the radikal ghetto of tremont. Maybe I'll stop by the OCBC when I'm in town @15th.

Enjoy

I guess that means driver4000 liked his birthday present. Now I just need somebody to show him to a good time...

Powers, that trip sounds like mega fun. I can't come because I am not available on Saturdays until after 12:30.

Driver4000, go ahead and have fun w/o me.
