Just got a Kona Minute cargo bike (http://2k12.konaworld.com/asphalt_simplicity.cfm?content=minute)and always planned on adding a rear child seat for my 2 year old. Now that I am doing my research, it seems my only option is a Yepp Maxi Easy Fit (http://www.gazelle.us.com/brands/yepp-products/yepp-maxi-easy-fit) because it doesn't mount to the seat/down tube (which is unusal on the Minute) and because it doesn't mount to a rear rack (again, also unusual on the Minute).

The Yepp Maxi Easy Fit is designed to mount to a rack (the Yepp Maxi Easy Fit Carrier (http://www.gazelle.us.com/brands/yepp-products/yepp-maxi-standard?page=shop.product_details&product_id=97&flypage=flypage_gazelle.tpl&pop=0)) which is bolted to the deck of the Minute.

I like the Yepp seat BUT... it is very expensive*,,doesn't recline and doesn't have side headrests for the toddler who falls asleep.

Are there any other rear child seats out there that would mount to the Kona Minute other than the Yepp?

*$240 Canadian for the seat and another $80 for the rack

I have heard that the Yuba's Peanut Shell seat can attach to a Kona rack. I don't have these bikes, but read something about it in my research on kid hauling options. Maybe someone else will have a solution.

Hi Justine, I was just curious how you are liking your MinUte and what child seat you got in the end? I am considering a MinUte myself so that I can carry more cargo along with my 2.5 year old son. Well, either a MinUte, or I may splurge on a http://www.kinnbikes.com/.

This info probably comes far too late for you, but I use the Yepp Maxi every day and really like it. It's so well designed that I forgive it for lacking side headrests. My husband bought a CoPilot instead and he envies me.

thanks for any feedback on the MinUte.
