How far did you have to go? What happened? It seems like it should be slow going but very doable.

What kind of bike?

Who knows, maybe I'll be singing a different tune by tomorrow. We're supposed to get a couple of feet or so overnight and I'm putting together a group ride for tomorrow afternoon. It's gonna be a small group as you might guess. ;)

I got out to try and ride after getting aride last night, and wound up pushing the bike more than riding, so I am grateful for the ride home, cause I'd still be out there walking the 15 miles home. Add to it the wind had kicked up. Wasn't at all fun. I was riding a 48x18 fixie with Nokians on front and back. By the time I got home there was 7-9 inches of the white stuff.
This morning it was beautiful, but impossible, with the wind still blowing tough. Tonight would be a beaut of a ride with the Hunter's moon out.

Yeah, we got some snow yesterday too. In the morning with about 2~3 inches it was definitely doable. But in the afternoon I went out again with about 7~10 inches of unplowed snow. I tried it for about 40 minutes, and but got to a hill I couldn't ride up. No traction whatsoever.

I was a trip though. The front wheel would be pointing to the side 70 degrees, but I'd still be going straight. The bike was just all over the place.
