to keep some stuff in. The bike has a set of braze ons so regular or seatpost rack would be ok. Just want something with enough space to keep some clothes, shoes, light jacket and the usual cycling tool bag.

thanks

Bike Nashbar is the cheapest place I've found for bicycle mounted racks
with e-bay the best place for panniers (the saddlebags for the rack) as
you can buy them cheap & little used.

REI has a small trunk for $20, and the student racks we have were $15... Have you considered a backpack hooked into a student rack (we used to call them rattraps...)? I fold the straps around the bag, hook it under the rattrap on the rack, and it stays pretty good. You can get a big backpack cheap, and a trunk may not be big enough for all you want to load in.. (shoes...)
