Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

which you recommend for 200+ lb situation ?
Cheers raptor, welcome to Bike Forums.
It's perfectly normal to have sore spots here and there if you haven't cycled for a while. You will also discover new muscles in your body (and those will be sore too, at first). Keep going, but it might be a good idea to check there's nothing drastically wrong with your riding position. Pain from exercise is generally good, pain from bad ergonomics is, well, bad.
We have a dedicated Clyde forum (http://www.bikeforums.net/forumdisplay.php/248-Clydesdales-Athenas-(200-lb-91-kg)), have you looked in there yet?

Hey Raptor,
Welcome to Bike Forums from a Texas road rider.
I did many 5 mile rides when I first started riding.
Takes some miles for the body to adjust to riding.
Ride as much as you can, take rest days when you need them.

I started at 262 pounds and am now down to 208. Cycling has been the major part of that. My wife and I use MyFitnessPal to track our calories. I get 300 to 1000 extra each day for riding my bike. According to my Polar watch I've burned 212,994 calories doing 426 rides for a total of 6,937 miles. The riding part gets easier and easier but the eating habits have been hard to change for me.
Keep riding as much as you can and you will see the pounds drop off. Especially if you continue to eat right.
Good luck.

www.myfitnesspal.com (http://www.myfitnesspal.com)is the web link. I started out slowly two years ago and gradually built up to 20 miles a day average. You can load myfittnespal on your iPhone or Android phone or go to it on the web.
