I purchased a pair of Sidi road shoes via eBay. I have 2 other pairs of shoes, different brands, both size 41 and so I thought that the Sidi shoes would fit fine as well but they are smaller than the other 2 pairs, tight.

Does anyone know if Sidi shoes run small?

In my experience, Italian brands run a little narrower than American or German brands, but length is about the same.

I thought they sized about right, but I just checked three pair of shoes I happen to have here with me:

Sidi Genius : 43.0
Bontrager RL: 43.5
Asics running shoes: 43.5

In street shoes, I almost always wear a 9 medium, never wide. Sometimes I even go for a narrow, but that's rare.

These shoes were all carefully fit and do feel good for their purpose. I'd have to say that my experience is that the Sidi actually run a little big!

I found them tight. But then I didn't know they had a wide style. Still the toe box seems small.

I was sitting when I first tried them on but when I tried them again, the length seemed fine but, as others have said, they are a bit narrow. However, I figure that after some riding, I should be able to stretch them a bit. I don't have wide feet but a little wider than these shoes were designed for so I'll keep them.

How wide is your foot? My foot is 11 EEE.
I'm on my second pair of Sidi Genius 5 mega (size 45) and the fit on both pairs is perfect.

I have SiDi's bought in different styles, over many years, the sizing numbers
vary a lot.. the Kangaroo upper road shoes in the 80's were OK as a 43..

the Lorica touring shoes , I got in a 46, 8 years ago.

mail order shoes, maybe 2nd pair, of same style.. first pair , I'd try on live and in person.

This is a problem for me, as I have a size 7 length and size 8 width.
