Introductions - Hey Everyone
Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

Hello, my name's Noah. I'm a freshman in highschool in western MA. I might be a little young compared to most of the guys out here but I'm equally interested in bikes in general. I have a few questions but I'll put them in the appropriate thread. My main ride right now is a '12 Diamondback Outlook hardtail(I know, I know) Department store crap to everyone out here. But I was on a serious budget when I was looking for a bike, but I really needed to get into shape. I was about 5 '10 230 at the beginning of summer but after a summer of riding I'm about 190 pounds just about. Thanks,

I know I know, but don't really know any trails around here, been riding mostly rode hence the less knobby rear tire. Hopefully going out this weekend with a few friends.

Hey dude, great work! And a good idea to start off so young as it does NOT get easier to lose weight as you get older, so you are realy starting a good habit of riding as a hobby. The bike looks great - ride it like you stole it and save for something better. Keep it up!

Thanks. That's what I plan to do. I'm starting to get more interested in taking things off road and if I like it I'll save up to buy something with quality components and actual travel.
