i am an artist in charlotte, nc who is creating a project using 300 bicycle wheels. i am looking for a few people with large quantities of used and abuse tires they are looking to get rid of. i don't need the tire. can be broken, have gears or not, any size really. let me know if that is you. thank you. i will be making 300 of this piece.

Welcome aboard! I hope your search is fruitful. You might try posting in the Mechanics thread. They would tend to stockpile things like wheel.

Try finding bicycle cooperatives. They frequently take in donated bicycles to part out to other builds. There's one I pass which has a small number of rusting wheels out back of its building.
