Introductions - Hi from Switzerland

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

Just registered here today.....
Since my city commuter got stolen:mad::mad::mad:, in front of my working place.
I was lucky, a friend gave me an old Boschetti road racer which I'm starting to modify with flatbar etc.
I know there will be questions, that's why I'm here.
Cheers

Hey Mirco,
Welcome to Bike Forums from Texas.
Hello Mirco, just noticed your introduction. Sorry to hear about your bike. Whereabouts in Switzerland are you? I just spent a couple of days in Zurich last spring. Wonderful city, quite a few bikes too.

Hello,
@10 Wheels (http://www.bikeforums.net/member.php/106798-10-Wheels)
Thank's for the warm welcome and sorry for the late post.
@ Juha
Thank's, was annoying but it turns into an advantage to create a my own new bike. I live in Baden which is a town (population 20'000)about 25km outside Zurich. I'm glad you liked it here. Cycling in the cities is getting more and more trendy here.

Hello and welcome. The Boschetti sounds interesting, into old racers myself, lets see some pics.

Sorry, but I think I prefer it before. Thats just because I'm a traditionalist. I know some prefer flat bars for commuting. But why did you strip off the decals? Nice bike. I got a very nice Giant which was supposed to have come from your country. We get all the throw aways down here but if you search you can find some great stuff, particularly racers which are not so popular.

no need to be sorry, we all have different likes. I definitely prefer flatbars for commuting. And I wanted to build a clean and minimalistic bike. That's why it looks like this.:)

I like your new design/look for your bike. The shifters on the bar is a great idea, keeps your hands on the bar.

thank's......
I like the shifters on the bar too, had enough time to test it. Works great.
Thank's to this forum I found out about these adapters for bar end shifters.
