Singlespeed & Fixed Gear - Saddle woes + bike porn

So, here's my bike in its most current incarnations. The one with the yellow SLR saddle is an older photo. I was hunched over so low, that when I was all the way down, I was essentially riding on my perineum, causing like, burning in my urethra. Total bummer.

I swapped out my saddle for this far-less-cool looking Trans Am. It's way more comfortable, and with my new bar position (I wonder what made me think the old way was how it was supposed to be?), I get beaucoup leverage for climbs/sprints/trackstands, and it looks less wacky. I can get my face like, 3-5 inches infront of my front tire. Face plants rule!

Any cooler looking saddle suggestions that aren't going to crush my boys? Yellow is preferable!

Are you still having problems with your wedding tackle in the new position? It still looks very extreme to me.

It's actually not so bad. As a friend said, I'm a "tall skinny motherfcker," so the length isn't bad. I usually ride holding the bar in the flat position, while the horns are reserved for climbs, sprints, and anything out of the saddle. I sometimes ride it on descents, just because the brake is there.

The difference is, now when I'm sprinting in the saddle, my perineum is in the little groove.

It's kind of nice, but that saddle is mad ugly.

What about getting something with a true cutout in the middle?

I'm usually not a fan of such saddles, but they seem to make sense in your situation: way more pressure on the perineum than normal, so why not just remove all the material there?

I assume you've tried lowering the nose of the saddle a little more....beautiful, albeit unique looking, bike....Your boys must be quite large to ride with your face a few inches in front of your wheel....Good position for vomiting, too...

I'm considering the SLR Trans Am (http://www.nashbar.com/profile.cfm?category=&subcategory=&brand=&sku=13195&storetype=estore&estoreid=287&pagename=). It seems like the obvious choice; good looks of old saddle, sans testicle-crushing center material (like hte new saddle!).

Anyone tried this?

i've got the specialized alias saddle on both my bikes, and i love it. its probably one of the most comfortable saddles i've had, especially for a low profile, racing type saddle. i'd recommend it, and its not too pricey either.

vomitron, i have both slr and slk...i prefer the slk but butts (hehe) are all diff...got my slk gelflow from excel for about $60 as i recall

i lied, the slk gelflow was from colorado cyclist and was $70...no yellow, either, but still pretty comfy for a minimalist design.
