The Auraria campus used to be a pedestrian only area. Bicycles were not allowed to be ridden through the campus at all, you had to walk them across. For this semester, they decided to add a bicycle lane through the middle of campus, allowing cyclists to ride in this one spot to cross the campus. There are lanes and signs painted on the concrete, and signs posted now directing pedestrians and cyclists.
A lot of pedestrians ignore the signs though, and walk wherever they feel like it. I find this very irritating, since I am doing as instructed, and staying in the bicycle lane. And while I would really like to yell at everyone to comply, I simply find a way around them and let it go. I suppose in time, there will be more compliance, but it's still annoying right now, especially when I see them walk right past the sign, and stay in my lane.
What would you do? Just let it go? Say something? Ring your bell constantly at them?
