ok I got my used arette gt and its in much better shape than I anticipated.
I went to remove the cassette with my brand new frg-g and doh the pin is in the way of the axle or vice versa.
so I removed the axle because I wanted to inspect the bearings anyway they looked ok then i removed the cassette withe frg-g.
setting the bearings was really hard because I needed to put the cassette back on before I adjusted the cones.
Now here is my question.
is it possible to drill out the frg-g and make it a fr5 ( so I can change the casette without removing the axle.
or should I replace the nutted axle with a quick release (which is hollow so I wont need to remove the pin.
or does anyone want to swap
never mind I drove the pin out with a hammer.
if I want to swap the axle what do I need. I assume that I need lock nuts, cones anf a skewer.
my nutted axle is a hair over 1cm (10 mm) its definatly not 14 mm
