Friday seemed to be alright until I've gotten myself involved with a task from a colleague which seems too confusing - we are organising a company charity ride in London, and I've been assigned to get a set of invitations to be done for the event promotion. It was all suppose to be easy (her words when leaving the office), but I've been here for almost 2 hours now (hence the browsing, and youtube, etc), without any understanding how can use the given tool (http://http://print24.com/us-en/?sid=dbd7396734a6cf80772402980873e2d8&pg=freedesign) to order the prints. I'm being asked to change the dpi (??) for the images - this is too confusing, where do I start? Can anyone kindly translate this requirement into regular English, and make the weekend so much better? Thank you!

Your link is bad.

What tool are you using? Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, Microsoft Publisher? You have to give us a clue.

Your dpi and resolution need to relate to the output medium. There's no need in having 320 dpi if you're putting something online. If you're printing something large, then your resolution and dpi need to be higher. It's all about size and the quality of the medium.

I only attempted to upload the images with some basic writings to an online printing store using their program, but it does not accept the images...

I do have a Photoshop on the laptop I am using, and found the Microsoft Publisher installed as well.

In photoshop open the image and go to - Image - image size

Just so you know, you can't fix a low resolution image by increasing the dpi in photoshop. You will have to find a different image that is the correct resolution.

Good point, picture editors can only decrease dpi, not increase it.

For what its worth, I fixed the link.

Glad to see everyone's advices - we managed to replace some images with those of better quality. I really appreciate all the crash course info on the subject! (Not sure about the bike photos, but thanks too!)
