I'm having issues with my Garmin Edge 500 and Powertap 2.4 ANT+ and I was hoping that someone here could help me figure out a solution. Essentially while riding on my Powertap 2.4 ANT+ there are times when my Garmin Edge 500 either loses the power signal or stops recording power data for a few seconds. It works 95% of the time, but all of a sudden I lose my power reading for 10-45 second segment - Power drops to "--" on my Garmin and when I download the file to my computer, I get a reading of 0 watts (I can send the power data to anyone who is interested if it helps).
I've downloaded the most recent firmware (3.0) from Garmin, and put a brand new battery holder and batteries into my powertap hub.
Has anyone had similar issues? Anyone know how to resolve this?
Thanks!

Try posting in the "Electronics, Lighting and Gadgets" forum here. Those folks are more likely to know the answers to your questions.

Thanks for the tip!
FYI- the FCC limits most items like these to a very narrow frequency band, and the transmitters ore very low power.
That means that often one unit's signal drowns out or mixes with the others confusing the receiver. Try arranging both pairs of transmitters as close to each other as possible, and with a clear line of sight from each sending unit to it's correct receiver.
Interference from a cell phone or other device?
I have the same problem at times, but only when riding my trainer at home - where we have 2-3 wireless laptops, 2-3 cell phones w/ wireless internet, probably 5+ wireless phones, a couple of wireless printers....
