i read the rules:

5.11 Bicycle Specifications

(j) there must be one working brake on each of the two wheels.

i got brakes, but has it been done? i will be doing a duathlon this summer and want to rip the course apart on my track bike...has any of the veterans seen track bikes on the course?

I've seen fixies in a couple races, last year - but these were non-USAT sanctioned races.
I'd ask the RD first, to ensure the bike is race-legal, then GO FOR IT!
