I'm just wondering how was it right after the war (WWII). Was there a surplus of women after so many men died? Were they easy to pick up?

@Jsharr and Spry... I know dead men are heavy and thus, not easy to pick up. Now answer my question or STFU.
Worked the bugs out of the time machine on the kitchen table, eh?

It's not often that a thread gets kicked to the 50+ forum. But I think this one needs it.
Stop this right now, you're embarassing the thread Rube.
Walk to the corner adult store and pick up an inflatable doll till these urges pass.
You're engaged to marry that girl with the well armed family.
Hey.. I just want to to do some myth-busting here. See, some old dudes at the barber shop keep bragging about how "effective" they were in their days. But I figure, when these 2 veterans came back, probably had to take care of a lot of lonely widows. So it might not be that they were "effective", but rather "the only ones left in town". From a historical standpoint, I seek confirmation to my theory.
I just got a reply on another forum. The guy wrote what his dad said: "Why do you think I stayed in Germany for a few years? All the German men were dead."

Actually guys who are in the age group that you questioned were little chick magnets, you need to ask guys that are 85 or so and older. Think about it.

If your theory is correct, you still won't be negating their effectiveness. If they had multiple conquests, it doesn't matter what size the pool was in which they were operating.
Look at it this way: Which is more effective, a hunter who hikes out into the wilderness and spends a day or more searching for his prey before ultimately killing it, or a hunter who goes to a hunting preserve that is stocked with prey, enabling him to be in & out in a few hours? One may be a better hunter & woodsman, but they were both just as effective at killing prey.
